Art Gwangju 2010 and the Art Market in the Pacific Rim

Art Gwangju 2010 is the focal point of the 21st century Asia Art Market. Gwangju, widely anticipated to play a central role in the development of the cultural belt of the Pacific region, is well known to the world as a city of the Biennale. Now, the city once again its doors to its visitors, by hosting Art Gwangju 2010, with the objective to offer a springboard to the Arts Market.

Art Gwangju will provide a platform wherein fine arts can encounter design to result in interactions between aesthetics and industrial appeal. To this end, a substantial focus will highlight the design aspects of the event and an art fair comprising a new format will be pursued, to offer a cultural driving engine for economic growth.
